Welcome to Allywaytalk!

I’m Ally, a soon-to-be graduate of high school moving to the states this fall for college. It’s been an amazing journey in Shanghai as an international student, and I want to use this space to reflect on some of it looking back, but also looking ahead at the new adventure that awaits. That could include anything from impulsive truffle-making sessions and finessing my way through taobao (mmMm love me some good taobaoing), to gallery hopping and cafe scouting in Puxi. On a more pensive note, I’m looking forward to reflecting on this entire college process and how that’s changed my world view, and also sharing some tips (the would haves and the would nots) I’ve copped along the way.
