TAOBAO MUST-BUYS: 13 Summer Essentials for the price of a Latte

For those of you who've at some point asked me where I got a certain article of clothing, you’ll probably know that my response ranges from “Taobao” to …. “Taobao.” In recent years, I’ve shifted to practically buying everything –– especially basic tops that I would have to get for twice the price at a store like H&M or Forever 21 and maybe save for athletics-wear and jeans –– on this magical site, just because it’s so so convenient and the range of options is close to infinite. The myths of bad quality, slow shipping, and scammy stores can largely be avoided through careful selection, and really, Taobao has moved away from its domain of selling fake clones of last-season fads to one caught up with contemporary fast fashion.
We shall slate our discussion on the negative consequences of fast fashion/consumerist culture for another time, but for now, let us indulge in being able to buy anything our heart so desires for the simple price of a coffee (and realize a month later that it was the dumbest shit you’d ever bought in your life). Got this and totally loved it (see first pic). The lens aren't exactly rayban quality, but they’re pretty clear (equivalent to forever 21 quality?) considering they're 20 RMB ultraviolet light protection. Plus they work for the gram :).
